UAE Salaries Rise by 10.7%

• Average salaries in the UAE increased by 10.7% this year, compared to 10.3% last year
• Sectors enjoying the highest pay rise were construction, banking and oil & gas
• Job categories having the biggest raise were Engineering, Finance and HR
• Drivers of pay rise include shortage of skilled professionals, falling value of US dollar, and rising cost of living
• Average rents in the UAE increased by 23% this year

Just saw this when I went for a quick ciggie on the balcony... two guys changing a front right tire on Sheik Zayed road (between defense roundabout and trade centre) in the very small emergency lane next to the fast lane... why do it there.. you must be completely out of your mind to change a tire there!! Is it just me or are they really insane? see the pics..
